FEBST International Conference, Brela, Croatia, May 21-23, 2025 – call for papers

We are excited to invite you to the international scientific conference organised by the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism of the University of Split in Split, Croatia. The 15th FEBST International Conference (formerly titled “Challenges of Europe”) will take place from May 21-23, 2025 in the picturesque town of Brela on the Adriatic coast in Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. All sessions will be held onsite.

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that our conference is reinvigorated in the following aspects:

o    a broader range of topics ranging from economics and economic policies to all areas of business perspectives and sustainability transformation, to name just a few of the most important tracks, and

o    expanded publication opportunities.

We are honoured to announce the following distinguished keynote speakers for the 15th edition of our conference titled “Economic Policies, Business Perspectives, and Sustainability Transformation”:

·         Prof. Scott Stern (MIT Sloan School of Management, US)

·         Prof. Justin Paul (NMIMS School of Business Management, IN; Graduate School of Business, UPR San Juan, PR, US; Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Consumer Studies, UK)

·         Prof. Sara Dolnicar (UQ Business School, University of Queensland, AU; co-editor-in-chief of the Annals of Tourism Research)

·         Prof. Mara Pasquamaria Squicciarini (Bocconi University, IT)

·         Prof. Alin Marius Andries (Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, RO; Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance, Government of Romania)

To participate in the conference as a speaker, the authors are invited to submit:

·         An abstract only

·         An abstract and/or a full paper (in the following categories: Referred Papers, Regular Working Papers, and Young Researchers’ Working Papers)

We would like to remind you that the deadline for the submission of abstracts for full papers is February 7, 2025. Please note that the submission of an abstract is not a prerequisite for the submission of a full paper, but is encouraged in order to facilitate the organization of adequate special activities during the conference

The program will span three full days, featuring keynote speeches, parallel and poster sessions, Meet the Editors session, a PhD workshop, and engaging social events. Conference participants will benefit from numerous publication opportunities, as well as valuable networking and cooperation possibilities. The extensive list of topics in the fields of economics, economic policies, business and tourism is available on the conference website. Conference participants may also propose special sessions on specific topics of interest.
