Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Krakowie posiada uprawnienia do nadawania stopnia doktora w pięciu dyscyplinach naukowych:
- Ekonomia i finanse
- Geografia społeczno-ekonomiczna i gospodarka przestrzenna
- Nauki o polityce i administracji
- Nauki o zarządzaniu i jakości
- Nauki prawne
Stopień doktora ww. dyscyplin jest nadawany osobom, które spełniają ustawowe i regulaminowe wymogi w tym przedstawiły i obroniły rozprawę doktorską. Przez rozprawę doktorską należy rozumieć pracę pisemną, w tym monografię naukową, zbiór opublikowanych i powiązanych tematycznie artykułów naukowych, pracę projektową lub wdrożeniową, a także samodzielną i wyodrębnioną część pracy zbiorowej. Rozprawa doktorska prezentuje ogólną wiedzę teoretyczną kandydata w dyscyplinie albo dyscyplinach oraz umiejętność samodzielnego prowadzenia pracy naukowej. Przedmiotem rozprawy doktorskiej jest oryginalne rozwiązanie problemu naukowego, oryginalne rozwiązanie w zakresie zastosowania wyników własnych badań naukowych w sferze gospodarczej lub społecznej.
The Krakow University of Economics has been authorized to confer doctoral degrees in the field of social sciences in the discipline of:
- Economics and finance,
- Social and economic geography and spatial management,
- Sciences of politics and administration,
- Sciences of management and quality,
- Law.
The doctoral degree in the above-mentioned disciplines is awarded to individuals who meet the statutory and regulatory requirements, including the submission and successful defense of a doctoral dissertation. A doctoral dissertation is understood to be a written work, including a scholarly monograph, a collection of published and thematically related scientific articles, a design or implementation project, as well as an independent and distinct part of a collective work. The doctoral dissertation demonstrates the candidate’s general theoretical knowledge in the discipline or disciplines and their ability to conduct independent scientific research. The subject of the doctoral dissertation is an original solution to a scientific problem or an original solution involving the application of the candidate’s own research results in the economic or social sphere.
Rozprawa doktorska może zostać przygotowana:
- w trakcie kształcenia w Szkole Doktorskiej UEK albo
- w ramach trybu eksternistycznego
The preparation of a doctoral dissertation shall be conducted by means of:
a. doctoral education;
b. extramural mode
Wstępne wymagania:
Osoby zainteresowane przygotowaniem rozprawy doktorskiej w UEK powinny:
- posiadać tytuł zawodowy magistra, magistra inżyniera albo równorzędny lub posiada dyplom, o którym mowa w art. 326 ust. 2 pkt 2 Ustawy lub art. 327 ust. 2 Ustawy, dający prawo do ubiegania się o nadanie stopnia doktora w państwie, w którego systemie szkolnictwa wyższego działa uczelnia, która go wydała,
- uzyskać zgodę jednego z pracowników UEK na pełnienie funkcji promotora,
- uzyskać akceptację projektu planowanej rozprawy doktorskiej (tj. w przypadku: Szkoły Doktorskiej UEK – propozycji badawczej, trybu eksternistycznego – wstępnej koncepcji rozprawy doktorskiej) od przyszłego promotora.
Initial requirements:
Persons interested in preparing a doctoral dissertation at the University of Economics in Kraków should:
- hold a Master’s degree, Master of Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, or hold a diploma referred to in Article 326(2)(2) or Article 327(2) of the Act, entitling the holder to apply for the award of a doctoral degree in the country whose higher education system includes the institution that issued the diploma,
- btain the consent of a member of UEK staff to act as a doctoral supervisor,
- obtain approval of the proposed doctoral dissertation project (i.e., in the case of the UEK Doctoral School – a research proposal; in the case of the extramural mode – an initial concept of the doctoral dissertation) from the prospective supervisor.
